Maine Bagel in Scarborough to close after nearly 2 decades

Maine Bagel in Scarborough will close its doors after nearly 20 years in business.
Maine Bagel on Route 1 will close Nov. 27.
The owners said due to circumstances beyond their control, they are obligated to vacate the building. Maine Bagel didn’t elaborate on why it must leave the location.
“Our family would like to thank our hard-working staff, vendors, first responders, and patrons. Without the support of staff and customers who gave us a reason to get up early every week, we would not have had the success that allowed us to serve food and friendly smiles this long,” Maine Bagel said.
